Be sure to pick up the Herald to read the feature story on Cayla Fielder and Jordan Williams who are Jonesboro natives now playing for the Arkansas State Volleyball team. Fielder played for Westside and Williams played for Nettleton. Both are freshman who are really making an impact on the team, which is 10-3 on the year.
Also in the Herald this Thursday is the preview story for the football game against Memphis. This day should have been circled on your calendar folks. This is a big game for Northeast Arkansas. Memphis is looking to beat us after they lost 35-31 last fall. They were up 31-6 at half time. And who could forget the Hail Mary pass from two years ago? Could we see the same thing happen this weekend? Will Corey Leonard go 3-0 as starting quarterback against Memphis? The game starts at one.
