Arkansas State added seven more points with 36 seconds left in the half.
Quarterback Corey Leonard found tight end David Johnson in the corner of the end zone on a 14 yard pass.
Halftime stats for ASU include:
Passing - Corey Leonard. 10/20 for 221 yards and two touchdowns.
Receiving - Jarriel Norman. Four receptions for 107 yards.
Kevin Jones. Three receptions for 76 yards.
Rushing - Reggie Arnold. Six attempts for 11 yards.
Touchdowns - Arnold and Johnson. Both came on passes from Leonard.
Keys to Second Half:
On offense ASU must continue to stay in control of the ball and dictate the pace of the game. The defense is doing an excellent job. They are pitching a shutout. Keep this up for 30 more minutes and victory is ours.
